Air Force Rank
Insignias, Sweden
Introduction
The appearance of the officers' rank
insignia in the Swedish Air Force was
changed in 2003 to have a somewhat
more international appearance. This is
according to the "Uniform Regulations for
the Armed Forces 2003 Edition" (M7756-
770002) which came into effect on February 1,
2003.
This page shows how the officers' rank insignia
looked before 2003.
The rank insignia are worn both on the sleeves as
well as on the shoulders and have an identical
appearance. However, depending on the uniform,
they are either worn on the sleeves or the
shoulders.
The following rank insignia has been used by the
Swedish Air Force during the 20th century.
